Editorial Policy

This page explains how Fast Food Nutrition Calculators decides what to publish, where the numbers come from and how mistakes are corrected.

Where our numbers come from

Each restaurant dataset on this site is checked against that restaurant’s own published U.S. nutrition information (its official nutrition calculator, guide or PDF). Each calculator page links to that source and shows the dataset’s review status and the date it was last checked. When a value is not published by the restaurant, we leave it out rather than estimate it.

Verified and pending data

A dataset is marked “Verified” only after every value has been compared line by line with the official source. Until then it is marked “Pending” and its values should be treated as estimates. See How We Source and Check Nutrition Data for the current status of every restaurant.

Guides and articles

Our guides use the same datasets as the calculators, and articles link to the calculator a number comes from. General health figures (for example daily calorie reference ranges) are linked to public sources such as the NHS, the U.S. Dietary Guidelines and the FDA. We do not give medical or dietary advice, and no dietitian or medical professional currently reviews this site.

Independence

We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or paid by any restaurant brand. Advertising, if shown, never changes the data or which items we list.

Corrections

If a number looks wrong, please report a nutrition data error. Every report is checked against the official source; when the official source and our data disagree, the official source wins and the page’s review date is updated.
